Led by CEO Nik Azihan Husain and Vice President of Exploration & Resource Development Shamsul Arif Haruna, Serangkai Ganda Sdn Bhd serves as the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for this project, ensuring seamless execution and strategic management.

Nik Azihan Husain - President & CEO
Nik, a Malaysian aged 60, graduated with Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from York University, Toronto, Canada in 1988. He has more than 30 years' experience in structured finance, treasury, corporate advisory, M&A and debt and equity capital markets. He started his career with Arab- Malaysian Merchant Bank as a treasury dealer and then moved to Shell Malaysia Berhad as a marketing executive before joining CIMB Securities as a company dealer.
He then moved to Maybank Securities as a remisier before joining an independent Asset Management Company Melor Permata as fund manager and corporate advisor. Realizing the huge potential in the local hard rock gold mining space, he set up ZNS Mining Sdn Bhd in 2008.
Prior to 2011, ZNS owned an alluvial goldmine in Kelantan and had 8,000 acres of greenfield mining properties portfolio all over Kelantan. All the properties were sold en bloc to a private Singaporean group in 2011. Presently he is active in the realm of corporate advisory and new IPO listings of which one is targeted to be listed in 2024 on the Bursa ACE market. The company is called SOCC Holdings Berhad, which is an offshore catering company based in Miri, Sarawak.
Shamsul Arif Haruna - VP Exploration & Resource Development
Shamsul, a 54-year-old Malaysian, graduated from the University Kebangsaan Malaysia with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. With over two decades of experience in the mining industry, he commenced his career as an exploration and mining geologist at Specific Resources Sdn Bhd. In this role, he provided guidance and support for exploration endeavors at the Penjom Gold Mine in Pahang, which has produced 1,000,000 oz of gold to date.
Before joining Bahvest Resources Berhad, Shamsul served as the Regional Exploration Manager and Mine Planning and Resource Manager at the Selinsing Gold Mine, which has produced 330,000 oz (US$400 million) of gold thus far. His responsibilities included developing mine plans to meet volume and grade targets, strategizing mining operations, and overseeing daily production. At Bahvest, where he held the position of Exploration and Geology Manager, Shamsul played a pivotal role in preparing the JORC report for the Bukit Mantri gold mining project in Tawau, Sabah, and establishing the CIL plant facility in August 2018. Bahvest currently boasts a market capitalization of RM1 billion on Bursa Malaysia. Presently, Shamsul serves as the Chief Geologist for Borneo Oil Group and Southern Alliance Mining Ltd. His company has strong affiliation with the current the King, Seri Paduka Baginda Yang diPertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar for iron ore and gold mining in Johor.
